Being a teenager can be challenging. Navigating body changes, social issues, school concerns, and thinking about life following school can be daunting for both the student and parent/caregiver. Anxiety and depression are prevalent among youth today, especially since the pandemic.

Therapy can be a great place to sort through life’s challenges as well as learn and understand the various emotions we experience,  explore core beliefs and develop healthy coping mechanisms to not only get through life, but enjoy it. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I enjoy collaboratively working with adolescents  and teens experiencing depression, anxiety, dealing with past trauma, life transitions, identity issues, and self-worth. I use a client-centered, eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. My preferred treatment approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, strength based therapy, supportive therapy, solution focused therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to explore their inner thoughts and feelings with no judgement. Whether it’s for a quick pick-me-up or for the duration of your scholastic journey at Bartram, this is your new safe space to get curious about you!
